Bridging the Gap Between Physical Therapy and Mental Wellbeing

Through personal experiences and internships, it became blatantly apparent that athletes need not just physical help but also mental health support during physical therapy. After professionals found in 2022 that 24% of adolescent athletes had elevated anxiety scores and 28% had elevated depression scores, our mission became clear: to raise awareness and facilitate systemic change in athlete rehabilitation.

Our Story

The inception of Not Just Therapy is grounded in both personal experience and evidence. Talking to professionals revealed a developing system—physical therapists working with psychologists or behavioral health professionals. Many athletic trainers and physical therapists lack the preparation to cater to mental health concerns, making our mission critical for holistic athlete rehabilitation.
